A wonderful company! “I used this wonderful company six years ago to replace discoloured and worn bone handles on various items of cutlery inherited from my parents. I was delighted by the results – the cutlery retained all its original charm and quality, with the addition of beautiful, dishwasher-proof handles that matched the silver and stainless steel perfectly. I have now completed the set, with our remaining 13 knives of various sizes all rehandled and (an unexpected bonus) re-whetted. They again look superb. Chimodirect provided an extremely helpful, friendly, and rapid service to repair two John Nesbitt stainless steel table knives, whose handles had been destroyed by years of washing in the dishwasher. Within two weeks we had them back with beautiful dishwasher-safe handles, with the blades rewhetted for the duties they served: our best knives for peeling and cutting in the kitchen. I have had my Hampton Court silver cutlery for 40 years and they have been in daily use. Naturally after that length of time the forks in particular have become tarnished. So I contacted Chimo Sheffield to carry out a refurbish work on initially 4 forks. I was so pleased with the result they are literally like brand new. So I have now sent some more cutlery. Excellent Company. It is a little expensive but it is craftsman work and after 40 years they don't owe me anything. Well worth doing.
