We know that often your cutlery can hold fond memories, so we treat every piece with care to ensure it is perfect when we return it to you! We love feedback from our customers – our team of craftsmen are always overjoyed to hear when somebody is pleased with their work!

A wonderful company! “I used this wonderful company six years ago to replace discoloured and worn bone handles on various items of cutlery inherited from my parents. I was delighted by the results – the cutlery retained all its original charm and quality, with the addition of beautiful, dishwasher-proof handles that matched the silver and stainless steel perfectly. I have now completed the set, with our remaining 13 knives of various sizes all rehandled and (an unexpected bonus) re-whetted. They again look superb. I should add that the staff at Chimo are extremely pleasant and helpful – another bonus. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“I just wanted to let you know that the two silver boxes arrived safely yesterday and that Lady Colquhoun and I are thrilled with them. What a wonderful job you and your work people have done with them. They look completely restored to their original beauty. Many thanks. I shall certainly be recommending you to anyone who wants their silver restored. Thank you Chris, and thank you to the Cutlery Hospital.”

Sir Malcolm Colquhoun

“I am so delighted with what has been done to the cutlery and it was just wonderful that they arrived in good time. Thank you and your colleagues very much indeed!”

“My mother had stopped using her favourite knives. They had been in the family for generations and she had inherited them over thirty years ago, but in the last few years, they had become unattractive as the blades were tarnished and the handles had become dull in colour. I had no idea until I visited Chris and Chimo Holdings last year, that anything at all could be done, but I was introduced to the Cutlery Hospital and a few weeks later, I was able to present my mother with twelve ‘as good as new’ knives. The old blades had been removed and replaced, and the handles have all been repolished to a very high standard.

Thank you Chris, and thank you to the Cutlery Hospital.”

Chimodirect provided an extremely helpful, friendly, and rapid service to repair two John Nesbitt stainless steel table knives, whose handles had been destroyed by years of washing in the dishwasher. Within two weeks we had them back with beautiful dishwasher-safe handles, with the blades rewhetted for the duties they served: our best knives for peeling and cutting in the kitchen. Now easy in the hand, they will cut through anything like butter. Thank you so much, Chimo! A perfect service for a very reasonable price.

Only sent 4 knives for new handles and sharpening but they mean an awful lot to my family. Perfect communication, easy peasy to arrange, quote sent and payment requested before being returned. My daughter cried because she thought they were being thrown out, they came back beautiful .. dishwasher proof and many more years to enjoy!

I have had my Hampton Court silver cutlery for 40 years and they have been in daily use. Naturally after that length of time the forks in particular have become tarnished. So I contacted Chimo Sheffield to carry out a refurbish work on initially 4 forks. I was so pleased with the result they are literally like brand new. So I have now sent some more cutlery. Excellent Company. It is a little expensive but it is craftsman work and after 40 years they don't owe me anything. Well worth doing.
